"The Magic of Mozart"

Was Mozart the greatest composer who ever lived? We don't know, but we certainly wouldn't argue with anyone who made the claim! Greatest or not, the joy his music still gives to musicians and audiences is unsurpassed. We'd like to share some of that joy with you in our spring concert series, as we present a concert program featuring two glorious pieces of Mozart's choral work, his Missa Brevis in D minor and the sublime "Regina Coeli" in B, together with selections from some of his loveliest orchestral pieces.

For a special additional treat, we'll also be presenting Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's beautiful "Magnificat", another work of genius from a young eighteenth century master. The orchestra will be presenting excerpts from two Divertimenti and the 1st movement of Mozart's Symphony No. 25. If that isn't enough, perhaps we could interest you in an excerpt from Mozart's Piano Sonata for Four Hands (four hands on one piano!), performed by our dear friends Judy Richter and Michael Irving.

We're offering two concerts, on successive Sunday afternoons in April. The first concert will be at St Margaret's Episcopal Church in San Juan Capistrano on April 22. The following weekend will see us return to the familiar surroundings of Geneva Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods - you can find a link to our secure online ticketing facility for this concert on the concerts page.

We're delighted to announce that we'll be joined for these concerts by the wonderful singers of the Choir of St Margaret's..
