We're the Saddleback Master Chorale and we love making music! We hope you'll want to join us as we celebrate in concert the beauty, life and passion of choral music. "A Concert of American Folk Music" -- Sunday, February 21, 2010 The American folk music tradition is part of the fabric of our society. Everyone knows, and has sung, traditional folk tunes like "Shenandoah", everyone has delighted at performances of great gospel songs and spirituals. In this concert, we'll be presenting a tour of the American folk tradition, going all the way back to the wonderful songs of the 18th century composer and musician William Billings, who is regarded by some as the father of American choral music, and who was writing American folk music before there was an America! As usual with Saddleback Master Chorale concerts, there'll be songs you knowand love, and intriguing songs you won't have heard before. It's sure to be a facinating and uplifting concert!
